FAQ

Q: Are both the frame and the artwork really made out of chocolate? A: Yes, everything is completely edible and 100% food-safe! We use some of the worlds most premium chocolate couverture for our frame and artwork and we use edible food colourings paired with cocoa butter for the printing. All ingredients are tested and food safe approved by the UK, EU and FDA authorities. Q: What is the print quality of the artwork? A: We use a high-quality printer that is specially designed to work with edible prints and edible ink.  Although the prints are of a very high quality and will certainly impress, the appearance may be slightly more faded compared to an image on web or on paper print. Q: Can I return chocolate products if I’m not satisfied? A: Unfortunately, due to food safety regulations, we cannot accept returns on chocolate products or any food items once they have been shipped. We ensure that all products are carefully inspected before dispatch to meet our high-quality standards. Please bear in mind that all our products are hand-made and minor blemishes or imperfections may be visible. These do not impact the quality and taste of the chocolate and we always strive to provide the highest quality possible. Please contact our Customer Service Department within 2 days (48 hours) of delivery with your order number as well as details and photos of the damage or defect. Please share photos that include:

• A photo of the area of concern
• Two full shots of the product (from the side and overhead)
• A shot of the packaging/box

We understand that sometimes items get damaged, and we will try help resolve the situation quickly. Our carrier partner ROYAL MAIL requires photo documentation for all damage claims. Claims submitted without proper support may not be eligible for reshipment. Q: What should I do if my chocolate melts during transit? A: Chocolate may melt in transit, especially during warmer months. We will take precautions to avoid melting such as adding coolant to the outer packaging. During summer months we recommend choosing one of the fastest shipping options available. In the unlikely case your chocolate arrives slightly melted, please place it in the fridge for 10 minutes whilst in its original packaging. If the visual quality has been impacted during transit please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your product. The quality and taste will remain unaffected. Q: Why does my chocolate sometimes have a white coating on the surface? A: The white coating on chocolate, known as “bloom,” occurs when the fat or sugar crystals rise to the surface. This can happen due to temperature fluctuations during storage. While bloom may affect the appearance, it does not impact the taste or safety of the chocolate. The chocolate can still be consumed as normal. Q: Is this product suitable for vegetarians? A: Yes, all parts of your ChocArtist products should be suitable for vegetarians. Please refer to the ingredients tab for more detailed information Q: Does this chocolate meet Halal dietary requirements? A: Yes, all chocolate options are certified Halal. Q: How is this chocolate sourced? A: ChocArtist’s Chocolate recipes are made from cocoa beans sourced from Ivory Coast, Ghana, and Ecuador. It is part of the Cocoa Horizons Program, which supports sustainable cocoa farming. Q: What is the best before date for this product? A: The best before date for this product can vary depending on our current stock levels and supply. The best before date will always be at least 4 weeks from the moment of receipt. Q: How should this chocolate be stored? A: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong odours. Ideal storage temperature is between 12°C and 20°C. Avoid storing chocolate in the refrigerator, as this can cause condensation and affect the texture. Q: Can I freeze chocolate to extend its shelf life? A: Freezing chocolate is not recommended as it can cause changes in texture and appearance. If you must freeze it, ensure the chocolate is tightly wrapped to prevent moisture from getting in.
